Cookie Policy.
A plain-language explanation of the small amount of browser storage used by this version of USARemote.
What we use today
The reviewed site uses a first-party cookie to remember your preferred job-board page size. This is a functional preference, not a cross-site advertising or profiling cookie. A local-storage fallback remembers the same setting when browser cookie behavior is restricted.
Current browser-storage inventory
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
usaremote_jobs_per_page | First-party cookie | Remembers 10, 20 or 100 jobs per page | Up to 12 months |
usaremote_jobs_per_page | Browser local storage | Fallback for the same page-size preference | Until cleared by user/browser |
Are cookies used to speed up the website?
The cookie does not directly make pages load faster. Its purpose is convenience: you do not need to reselect your preferred number of results. Public pages can be delivered quickly through caching/CDN infrastructure independently of this cookie.
Consent and strictly necessary cookies
Some jurisdictions, including the EU, distinguish cookies strictly necessary to provide a service requested by a visitor from optional cookies requiring prior consent. Whether a particular preference cookie is exempt depends on its function and applicable rules; do not assume every performance or convenience cookie is exempt. This version does not activate an advertising-cookie consent banner because such trackers are not currently implemented.
Third-party requests are different from our preference cookie
Google Fonts and some images are currently requested from external services. Those requests can expose technical information to third parties even without USARemote setting a cookie. This policy should be updated if those third parties set cookies, and the privacy notice should explain technical data flows.
What is not currently enabled
The reviewed static files do not show Google AdSense, Google Analytics, remarketing pixels, or other user-profiling scripts. If advertising is added, including personalized ads, we must reassess the cookies, disclosures, consent choices, and any platform-specific requirements before deployment.
How to change or delete the preference
Use your browser site settings to delete cookies and site data for usaremote.work. Clearing storage resets the Jobs per page selection to its default of 10. Many browsers let you block cookies, but the preference may then not persist.
Policy updates and contact
We will update this page when storage or third-party services change. The site operator’s verified privacy contact and registered business details must be supplied before public launch.
